It’s the people that make the difference…
Southborough Extended Day has a talented and experienced team of professionals working collaboratively across all of our programs to provide high quality programming to the students of Southborough.
Staff members are chosen for their demonstrated ability to work effectively with school-age children, including their experience, creativity and sensitivity to the needs of children. Prior to employment, all employees and volunteers must complete a background record check, including a criminal record check (CORI), department of social services check, and at least two professional/personal reference checks. In addition, all staff maintain current First Aid and CPR certification and are required to participate in annual training and professional development.
SEDP strives to create a work environment that is professional, supportive and fun. Each employee is encouraged to contribute his or her ideas and talent, and is valued for the critical role he or she plays in the success of the company. The collaborative environment at SEDP leads to a consistent work force, with long-term employees. We have created a strong sense of community that attracts and maintains talented professionals.
Group Leaders and Assistants
In accordance with state licensing regulations, Group Leaders must be at least 18 years of age and have at least one year of experience working with school-age children. Most SEDP Group Leaders far exceed these requirements. Assistants must be at least 16 years of age, and must work under direct supervision of a Group Leader or Site Coordinator at all times. At SEDP we strive to hire a diverse group of qualified employees knowing that a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and ages will enrich the program for the participants.
